First ever sports shots - U14 girls soccer friendly tourney

We own a competitive youth soccer club (husband is also coach of a couple of teams) and when I got my camera last fall I was like "AND I can take pics for the club!". So here we go, LOL. My 55-250 is a bit short for a soccer field, so the best shots are when the girls comply and move the action near me.

Great job for the first time.

My first time was much less aspiring than those.
I now get compliments on many of my photos. I've adjusted the position of where I take the shots to the end zones or near the ends to get players running towards the goal area versus just running. And I try to get more "action" shots per say then just regular shots.

I've also used the rule of thirds in positioning in the frame in many photos

The background could cause issues. Those fences my camera would like to focus on those instead of the players from time to time. lol
