First family shoot

Those who have seen my shots know I'm a more of an urban and cityscape shooter. So I dubbed 2010 the year of people photography for me. I did a few maternity shoots, some headshots, band shoots and promos.... this past weekend I did my first family shoot.

I'm having a great time working with people and seeing all the challenges in working with them. Specially energetic 2 year olds who just ate candy before leaving the house.

They chose a nearby apple orchard. Was a really fun (and tiring) time. I have a bunch more up on my blog (link below), but here is my fave capture from the day. As with most of my shots, they are lightly directed, mostly candid.

Thats a lovely image Pierre, I checked out the set on your blog too. Very nice. I love the processing on this. I wasnt sure about the flare from sun at first but it grew on me the more I looked at it the image.

Thanks Dee!

I'm not a flare guy, but I think it worked with this image. I had to drop down to my knees quick to get the flare between them and over him. I have a few others where one of the three is hit by the flare and it looks off.
