First Maternity shoot this weekend . . . tips?

Hi guys,

If you read a previous thread I started, I will be doing my first newborn shoot in a couple weeks, but the Mom asked if I could do her maternity pictures this weekend before the baby comes.

I've never done maternity before. I am reading up, will definitely try to avoid some cliche pictures.

Most of the lighting will be natural, they have a beautiful Victorian home with a lot of natural lighting. She also plans to not show her tummy.

I have yet to purchase my softbox for my speedlight, do you think I would need it?

If the house has alot of big windows and natural lightning you could do without any light, depending on how fast your lenses are and how good your body iso performance. Having a speedlgiht and an umbrealla/softbox would deffinetly help you fill some shadows.
