First Model Shoot with a "real" model...

I am going to be doing my first shoot with a "real" model (not a friend) soon and I have some questions...

I want to be completely above board on this... I have a model release form ready. But the model is bringing a MUA (make up artist) and a hair stylist with her. Do I need any type of contract for them?

If they are not in the photos you don't need a release for them. If the model is bringing style with her, you had better be ready to produce some real images.

One thing to think about here if you plan to go down the modeling patch (which I find good for practice) is to treat the mua and stylist as well as you do the model and network.

I'm assuming this is going to be a TF* shoot; discuss with the MUA & HS how they would like to be credited in your images.

You are going to have fun! When you get someone in front of the camera who gets it, and works with you, it is a blast. Congrats on taking this step. Like the others said, treat them all well. everyone there has something to gain with a great shoot. Charge your batteries, tape your cords down. if it is a longer shoot , feed them. Food goes a long way, clear things only, Bagels, tortilla chips, bottles of water etc... if it isTFP, try to leave a little time so they can contribute ideas. it can't hurt.

I haven't finalized it yet. But I am looking forward to it. It will be a good experience and will help me narrow my focus as a photographer... or broaden it I guess.
