Pretty much everything David Busch covers in his book is included in the user's manual Nikon included as a PDF file on the software disc that came with your camera.

Which would you say is more FUN to read (and therefore more likely to be read)? And which one gives more "Anecdotes, information, ideas" on when, why and where to use different things? I find the factory manual to be a boring reference, very dry,... while I think beginners will find Busch's books much easier to read! For someone with LITTLE or NO knowledge, the additional information in the Busch books helps beginners to understand and retain information better... or do you differ on that?

Is the factory manual all you need.. YES, with some prerequisite knowledge..... that the beginners don't have! Busch helps to bridge that gap!

Thanks for the feedback everyone! The shoot went SO well! I am very PROUD of myself and the little stinker was so good! I couldn't have asked for better photos my first go around, not saying there couldn't be improvement but DANG I am very happy with it.
