first photo session c&c please

i just started photography and i happened to take pictures of my sister and her dog for the holiday season. PLease comment and tell me what to improve it would really be helpful. ANd dont be afraid to be harsh.

The second is pretty good. In #1, watch for your background. In this case, the tree coming out of her head is distracting.
