What's new

First pictures since giving photography a chance. C&C

You need to post them direct mate. Get the bb code and post them on your thread, about 3 or 4 at a time.

The bird one intrigues me, though a different angle would have stopped so much of him from being blocked by the ground in the horizon. Could also use some post-processing. For the flowers, you have to work harder at finding an angle or approach that is unique. I was reading Kelby recently and he says we all see flowers all the time, so a photography should them to us in a new, unique way that is bound to stand out to our eye.

The corn one could be cool, but again, I feel like the angle/ composition needs to be stronger. Maybe with some post-processing, you can sharpen the corn and make some edits that will separate it better from the yellowish/orangish background.

The one with the sunlight coming straight at the camera feels a bit like an assault on my eyes. Sorry, don't like that one. The leaf one I'd say the same thing as with the flowers, find a more interesting angle - positioning it smack center also gives it less appeal.

BTW, I'm a newbie too, so I'm also sorting this stuff out. Been reading a lot on composition, etc and improving, so my C&C comes with a grain of salt. Keep at it and you'll see better and better shots each time you go out and shoot.

Most of them are under exposed.

i agree, but for someone who just gave photography another chance its definitely not bad. :sillysmi:

They're not very interesting, no offence. Try thinking about your compositions more, if you have prints on your wall that you have bought or there are some amazing photos you like then look at the way they've been shot, the angles and what they're of.

In laymen terms, Google rule of thirds and using lines.
