First post, new camera, halfway decent picture.

So, I got a new T3i and took this with the kit lens. It didn't turn out have bad so I thought I would share. I am new to DSLR's so I was impressed with it immidiately even though most here will probably say "Eeww, eek, why did he even post that."

The light on top has a bit of "blur" or vignetting to it at the top, do you notice what I mean?
Well done for a first shot though!
I would frame her to the left a little bit more, she is a little too centered x

It's fun to see our new toys in action. There is a ton of great information on here, so I'd start reading to see just what your new toy can do. No need to go into detail on your first ever picture. Read up and practice, then toss up your practice for review. ;-)

Not bad for a first post from your new camera. T3i good camera super choice. I prefer the edit by Erninus as it does remove some of the distracting background. Next time be aware of the BG detail and open up the lens a little more to throw it out of focus. Other than that a good sharp clear portrait with good detail.
