Better than any lightning shot I have. I really like the way the top of the cloud is defined. Its a keeper.

There's nothing to laugh about. The silouette of the clouds and orange sky gives it an interesting look. I just wish those trees weren't in the way. It's a good shot for your first try.

how did you do that?

Hmm... I didn't do it as it should be done... I mean that I didn't use long exposure coz my cam allows to take only 2 sec. although it is fuji s5000 that Ihoped would be better. So I just closed apperture and set my camera on continuous shooting. My cam has an option of taking up to 40 cont. shots (5 in a second) while saving the last 5. That's mean that I released the shutter after I saw the lightning. That's not surely the professional method but what to do?

I agree...I like it cause nothing else takes the image away....infact It would make a great desktop background, or website background, so NICE WORK.
