I noticed the boards are abuzz with car people today so here is the aftermath of my first shoot with the Sigma 10-20mm I bought last week. Took about 80 pics before security ran me off. Apparently it's their bridge and no one else can be there. Whatever.

This last one is my favorite, BUT I'm struggling with the colors. White is hard. Opinions?

No hood pins or chrome wheels, sorry. Just plain old stock MazdaSpeed3 with yellow foglight covers. Short Ram Intake too, but that's it.

So how'd I do for my first time out with an UWA? From your assessment does it look like I got a good copy of the Sigma? It has corner distortion and quite a bit of it, but is that normal?

Congrats on the lens, i hear good things.

Nice composition on the last shot.

I think you did pretty good for your 1st time using one, you kept your shots relatively "safe" i guess you could say.

What aperture did you use on this HDR?

I think #1 & #2 you can really use much smaller aperture and use tripod and get a star shaped sun ray.

This is a good idea. Any idea how many points the Sigma would make on a ray like that? Doesn't it have to do with the number of aperture blades?

My only concern would be the wind. It was a little windy and I would be concerned about movement in the tripod. My correctly exposed shots in camera were already in the 1/5 sec range. I should have brought a couple sand bags to attach to the bottom of the tripod...coulda should woulda. There'll be a next time though.

Thank you for the idea!

In #1, the wheels are turned the wrong direction, you want to hide the tire tread. The wheels are turned the correct direction on the other pics though.
I don't care for the crop on #3, it doesn't leave the car much room for movement as the car is almost out of frame.

Nice shots, should get some that show off the "muscle" of the oversized hood on the speed3. Nice car though, I miss my 3 sometimes.

The way you turn the wheels is highly subjective. I've read to turn them towards the camera, but then another place they say the exact opposite. FWIW I prefer them away from the camera as well. Mistake on my part.

The only thing different with the MS3 hood is those two muscle creases on either side and a slight crease in the middle. Not really something I could show off.

Ah, thought the speed3 had an extra inch over the regular 5 door, it's been a few years since I had mine.

Hmmm. I don't believe so. I should be wrong though. It's happened before ant it'll happen again.

Bump. Sorry it's not a Mustang but it's my car...

Why can't I see the shots? It says flickr and unavailable at this time.

I am getting the same thing as flameshots. If I click them I can see them but not see them from here.
