I think these are all quite lovely.
Perhaps I can mention why I like #1 color much more than #2 color.

Notice how in #1 the composition is much more compact, there is really good contact with the subject's eyes and the bright white pants don't pull the eye.



Now if we take #1 and crop it to 4 x 5 so there's a tighter composition and darken the stones and the background so they aren't so bright and compete with the subject for attention, I think the actual subject really becomes more prominent. (this would be better and easier with a bigger image but.........)

I see what's your saying it does look better with the stones darker. I have the setting on my camera for the largest pic size

Whenever I see black and white, I hope that it karate chops me in the face! I'm talking SLAM-BAM! But I didnt get that from yours. Play around with the contrast, brightness and blacks til you get a more defining result. The pictures look great though. I like the 2nd set better. The first set has distracting backgrounds. Overall nice job posing. Posing is my biggest opportunity. Keep shooting!
