First time playing with lighting

There are quite a few more this one just seemed to be the best (I've got a LONG way to go).

white balance doesn't look correct. what time of lighting were you using?

I agree. white balance is definitely off. Lighting looks good otherwise...maybe a bit dark...

Maybe I should try turning off the florescent light in the background? Right now I'm just starting to play with the off camera flash (first mini assignment in strobist lighting 102).

the flourescent is the reason for the coloring, try changing your white balance for flourescent light. or use the custom white balance.

doesn't look lie fluorescent to me..

Maybe a combination of florescent incandescent and flash if I turned off the florescent it might be easier to white balance.
