First time with my DSLR

I just got my D40, and am very new to photography. I snapped these at my folks house this past weekend. I'm anxious to hear constructive criticism, and how I can improve. Thanks!

i like the first one a lot, i dont see anything wrong with any of the photos, just get out there and keep taking pictures, dont be afraid to try something new. (my words of wisdom )
