well my first in like 4 years help! i just feel a little overwelled. i want to do a really good job because it is for my fiances sister
i just need some suggestions and shots to use- i will be using natural lighting and film

Well, first off, good luck! Weddings are fun and so overwhelming at times

-If you haven't already, go check out where the wedding/reception will be. This will help plan out some good areas for shots and give a sense for what the lighting will be like

-Have the couple complete a list of photos that they would like. I have one that I would be happy to e-mail you if you like. This way you make sure you get what they are looking for

-We shoot mostly candid/photojournalistic style for weddings. so I do a lot of close ups of the flowers, back of the dress, bride/groom hugging, etc vs. the posed group shots. I do like to get the wine glasses at the reception and if the couple wants a shot with the flowers, invitation, etc together that looks nice too.

-Trust your judgement. Since this is family, you probably already have a sense of what they will and won't like

-Bring backup of everything, batteries, more film then you think you'll need, etc, etc, etc.

-Oh, and have fun

but the advice you gave ceno2000 was great too! since I'm doing this wedding for the very first time! I'm totally an overwhelmed nutcase right now.

at the risk of making you sorry you mentioned it, i too would like to see your list. i have my own mental list, but have never written it down. any chance you could post it?

also, do you (or anyone reading this) have a good contract specific to weddings? i got a good general purpose contract from shark months ago, which is excellent, but i find myself editing it for wedding purposes. got anything good you could share?
