Fish eye lenses, how often do you use yours? What do you use it mostly for?

I rarely ever used a fisheye lens.
There is not a lot they are useful for.

Most people that get a fisheye lens wind up selling shortly after buying it.
The novelty wears off really quickly.

I use mine never... because I don't have one.

This may seem a snarky response, but it actually says a lot. I had $3K burning a hole in my pocket at one point and I considered buying a fisheye... and didn't... because there are just so few uses for them. They're super cool, but not worth it unless you happen to be one of the oddball photographers who needs or wants one a lot... or you just have more money than you know what to do with.

Given there's two types of fisheyes, that would mean there's two possible answers.

I can see where a full-frame fisheye would be more common and therefore more apt to be used. And used wisely and with discretion, the images won't have that fisheye 'look'.

A circular fisheye is 'pert near impossible to disguise as such.

Ditto. Have one and am getting ready to sell it. Use it twice. 'Nuff said. Totally a lens to rent when you need.
