Fix this link problem?

I had trouble with posting link to my zenfolio. This is what someone said on zenfolio forum when I reported the problem:

That forum is doing something evil, and it's messing up your link. When you click on the link, instead of taking you straight to Zenfolio.com, it actually takes you to outboundlink.net, which tracks the fact that you went from thephotoforum.com to zenfolio.com (in fact, it notes the exact URLs that you're going from and to). That, in turn, redirects you to Commission Junction, which redirects you to Commission Junction, which redirects you to Commission Junction, which finally redirects you to Zenfolio | hosting service for photo galleries | a place to learn and enjoy photography (and not usagani.zenfolio.com).

Interestingly, your links actually work correctly in Firefox, which skips all but outboundlink.net. Your best bet is to email the forum administrator and tell them that their redirection and click tracking is breaking your links.

Edit: Now I can't reproduce it anymore either. Chrome still goes through all of those redirects, but it ends up at the correct location now. It still seems like a buggy redirector.

it sounds like you guys try to trick all links so it gets you guys money for ad per click? Something is fishy here.

Sorry Schwetty for posting this here, but its a problem and Im hoping the Mods will read this sooner or later. I cant start a new post and can only reply to the last post and unable to quote anyone. Here is a shot of my screen and you can see there is no NEW THREAD button visible anywhere. Whats up with this?

Wow bynx. If I were you I would delete all cache and temporary internet files. Im not sure if that will fix the problem though.

Schwetty, is the usagani.com link in your sig the one that isn't working right?
If so, it works fine for me. I'm using Firefox on a Linux (Ubuntu 10.10) OS.

But anyway, everytime you post a link, it will take you to like 5 different places first before you go to the link. I think the owner manipulated the website so that it hits several places everytime someone posted a link. I think they are trying to make more money on ad per click. I could be wrong though. It looks like the link is fine now.

OK, it doesn't work for me then. (It does 'try' to go to the right place, but it gets redirected. The correct address briefly appears on the new tab.)

Clicking on the link just takes me to zenfolio.com. The link in your sig works fine though.

The only way I can make the link I quoted work is to right click it, copy link location, then paste that into the address bar of a new tab - then it goes to the same place as the one in your sig.
