flash help!!!!

how do I get my flash to fire via wireless.

I want to connect it to a stand and have it shoot through the umbrella.

Also would I need a flash connected on my camera first??

can it be done with one flash?

What camera and what flash do you own. That'd probably help.


If your camera doesn't have a Commander mode, you'll need wireless triggers to do ocf.

You can use something like this - for Canon Nikon Pentax Olympus Contax - Wireless radio Trigger Set

The transmitter goes on the camera hotshoe, the receivers go on the bottom of the flash(s).

Many cameras have a built-in infrared wireless triggering system.

As others have asked....What make/model of camera and speedlight are you using?
