Flash mounting issue

Hey guys,

I got my SB-600 mounted to my wireless flash trigger Wireless flash trigger for SB600 SB800 SB28 as CTR-301P - eBay (item 220715738597 end time Mar-26-11 23:43:39 PDT)
But my trigger doesn't have a bottom mount so i can't mount it to a bracket can I? I need to find some wireless triggers with 2 or 3 receivers that are mountable to the B bracket which I intend to mount a softbox or umbrella.

Are you referring to a bracket like for the top of a light stand to hold an umbrella, if so I am pretty sure that they sell brackets with 1/4-20 male threads on top instead of a hot-shoe mount. Of course if you already have the bracket then this doesn't help. You may be able to get/ make a hot-shoe to 1/4-20 screw mount adapter. Not sure if this is even what you are asking, but maybe it helps.

I guess to be technical it would be a "cold-shoe mount"

You need this type of flash bracket. The standard flash shoe holder unscrews. And you can then screw on your reciever. Some times called a C mount.

You need an umbrella bracket:

The umbrella bracket mounts on a light stand.

I know it does, it's just my wirelss trigger cannot mount to the bracket, so how am I going to put the flash on the bracket, when I can't fire it?

With one of these. I had the same issue as you, and these fixed it. You can find much cheaper ones (like $4) on ebay, but they take around a month or get here from China.

The umbrella bracket I posted. The part of the bracket where you would normally slip the shoe of the flash into (like the top of your camera). That part screws off. When it is off there is an exposed screw (screw stud). On the bottom of your flash reciever is a screw socket. You screw than onto the screw stud. You can then mount your flash to your wireless reciever.

The top picture in the auction shows the flash shoe mount already off. Black round thing sitting on the side.

Then get these they have a 1/4 thread on the bottom you can use. Scroll down in the auction and it will have a picture of the back of the receiver.

Awesome Keith thanks alot for the link. Now just a bracket that will fit on my stand as well and that can hold an umbrella.
Just bought a 8.5' light stand as well.

I always recommend that radio trigger set.

I just bought a stand, umbrella and those triggers you recommended. I just need a bracket now. Any recomendations? Just the bracket.
