Flash???

I don't know much of anything about flashes and would love to learn more. I'm not a huge book person, are there any websites you can suggest that can explain more to me? I want to buy one soon but want to make an educated purchase. Thanks for any feedback.

It has more to do with off camera flash, but it's a good start. The flash and studio lighting section at http://www.photography-on-the.net/forum has some good FAQ's and tutorials. It's a Canon DSLR website but the info & techniques can apply to any brand of light.
