Just my opinions...

Colors are vibrant, subject isolation, sizing and composition is good. Focus and DOF is good. Posing show low menace level, but is good for subject study. #2 sharpness level is set too high, the others are tolerable. Control of lighting is very good with just enough shadowing to give depth without a lot of harshness (some but not a lot). Not entirely sure I like the lens (would need more images) but the out of focus area (blue/green) behind and to the right of the right eye of the last pix looks a bit ugly.

I would say keep at it even with them flying off all the time! Good shots.

Thanks for the feedback, never thought macro would be so challenging, but fun to learn! Will keep working to make my shots better, and will back off on the sharpness some.

Well I think you are doing good work with these especially if you are just starting. The sharpness is a tricky control, I suspect here that there is aliasing going on with the fine details of the eyes due to it. Plus, over-sharpness can begin to obscure lower frequency patterns and details (like the wing and body patterns in #2). The lighting is actually a bit harsh (on second look). Maybe want to investigate some diffusion ect. You already have a good eye for composition, and esp subject scale and placement (notice that each fly shot has the fly placed so it has room to "move forward" and is not in any way cramped).

BTW what lens are you using? The 100/2.8L? If so, then ignore my comment about "ugly focus" - that lens can't have ugly focus!
