Flooded mine shaft

This is the entrance to a mine that reportedly goes miles under ground. The mine has long been flooded out. The ore came up on these tracks and dumped into kilns and silos near where I was standing. This shot required a little twisting and stretching and no matter how much I tried I could not move all of the foreground obstructions out of the way and snap the pic. I just find the area interesting and will be back when the weather is more hospitable.

Didn't you post this some time ago, when the forums and post count got butchered? I replied then, but I will again.
I really like this photo, despite the business of it. It's sharp, clear, and concise, and I love the color contrast. Good job; weren't you terrified?

Yea I posted this almost exactly when the forums went down but thought I would share it again. Thanks for the comments, and yea it was a little scarry for a moment, I literally had to lean out and shoot one handed!
