Flower CC please

Hi all, Just wondering what I could have changed in-camera to make this flower 'pop' a bit more? I think I'm close (was hoping to catch the water droplet hanging a bit more than it was though), but it can always be better.

I would have used a slightly smaller aperture to open the DOF up enough to get the unbloomed flower in focus; it is distracting. The in-focus leaf underneath your "copyright" is also distracting. I find shots like this of flowers to be boring because they're so overdone...the water droplet doesn't add any significant interesting value to the image, in my opinion. Thanks. I tend to do the flower shots for my wife - whenever she has a redecorating idea, we need new pictures that match the new colors!

I think one means to get a photo with a flower that "pops" more would have been to go take a photo of this one a couple of days earlier when it was not yet past its prime and wilting... Other than that, the focus has been selected well, I say.

We've had such a harsh summer this year that, believe it or not, this flower just bloomed like a day or so ago!
