Flowers and a cool lizard

Check out the rule of thirds. Most of your subjects are centered, which can detract greatly from the artistic aspect of a photo. Just be conscious of how you compose. Still, nice shots.

Thanks for the comments. I'm really concentrating hard on getting good using manual focusing and using my flash properly. These are probably my best shots so far. I understand what you are saying about the rule of 1/3s and will try using it on my next outing.

The lizard is amazing...is that a night time shot?

It was actually in the middle of the day but we were deep into the woods and it was pretty dark under the tree cover. The lizard is a 5 lined skink. Males get bright red heads in the Spring.
