Fonts

Are fonts usually copyrighted or something? I hate the thought that people don't see my website right because they might not have the right fonts, so I thought maybe I could post them so people could download them. Or maybe anyone here with a site could list any fonts they use then we could do a font exchange or something. I dunno, just thinking... sure sure I should just use normal fonts, but I've become way too attached to my Viner Hand ITC.

Funny timing, Min. We just had a conversation about fonts at work on Friday. (Strange conversation for a Friday afternoon, huh). Anyway, I didn't know that the "_" at the bottom of letters in called a "serif". And when it doesn't have it at the bottom it's sans serif. I seriously didn't know where the name came from. Although I knew what "sans" meant. :?
