The light direction and quality generally sucked in the 2nd afternoon on the return leg of my train trip last month. Being in deep, narrow, dark valleys, and going through a bunch of unlighted tunnels didn't help any.
I went ahead and shot some video clips out the back window of the train, but I didn't have a tripod with me so I had to shoot hand-held with my camera strap wrapped around my arm.
I used my Nikon D300s set to - 1280 x 720/24 fps.
US passenger trains rock and roll a fair amount but I still got some clips so I could get some practice editing some video using Photoshop CC.
I made each clip a Smart Object so I could use Adjustment Layers and Filters.
I used a Curves adjustment layer and the Camera Raw filter on each clip, added text, fades, etc.
Rendering the video is batch processing a boatload of still images. It took my computer 5 hours to render the 3672 still frames into an edited video.
