Free Photography books

I've read a few free books from Amazon, none have been amazing, but I guess that's what you expect for free. Has anyone found any good ones? This one was at least useful for me:

Youll get what you pay for. Really. Rarely (very rarely) someone will put up a good book for a really steep discount or free, but generally the useful books cost money, sometimes a lot. What sort of books are you looking for?

Yeah, I guess you're right. I thought that one was okay and people might get some use out of it. I'm interesting in photography in general but I never know where to look. Beginners books tell me what I already know, but advanced books just blow me away. I guess I'm not sure what I'm looking for really.

I'm not sure what your level is, but try my website for a few tips. Its not reallyfor very advanced photographers, so there might be something you could pick up there.

Your best bet is to go to either the public library, or garage sales. It doesn't matter if they're old books from the '70s... photography hasn't changed. The medium by which we record the images has, and that has a very minor impact on technique, but nothing significant, especially not for a beginner.
