Not sure if I should post these here, or in the General Gallery...Anyhow, I shot these on a local stream here in Connecticut. First time shooting any outdoor activities. I like it a lot! ...but need a lot of work...Please help me make the next shoot better! I shot these with a D3100, 50mm. The 3rd photo was shot with flash. I need to get a better flash and learn how to use it. I hate the way the on camera flash looks! Thanks! $DSC_0955.webp$DSC_1010.webp$DSC_0976.webp

Thanks! #2 is my fav out of the set too. I like the first shot, but I feel the lack of color just makes the photo look drab. Not sure how to help that shot. Any help?

I don't see any indication as to whether your photos are ok to edit or not? If not, try a slight increase in contrast and saturation to start with. It should liven up the greens and the sunlight a bit. Nice pics. Fly fishing is my favorite hobby:)

You're welcome to edit if you'd like. I don't have any software. Gonna start getting into that soon.

Great little Brownie in #3. They are all about the colors, work those. Also, if you fly fish you know it is as much about the cast as it is the catching. 2 would be great but for me, as important as the cast is, I would at least like to see the rod crisp and sharp, if not more of the line. It's going to take a fast shutter, but here it looks more like dof. Those are my suggestions.

Thanks for a the comments. Yes Deeky, I agree. I was trying to get a better shot of a cast, but no luck. Maybe next time. Went again today and going tomorrow. I'll post the photos for sure!
