Some shots i took while visiting Paris...hdrs and panoramas mostly. Some feedback from you guys would be great.

There is a sort of rule in special effects for photography and television production that goes like this: If the "effect" is obvious, then it likely distracts from the content of the image. In the case of the above the HDR processing is much too visually obvious, particularly on number 1 and number 3. Back off on the processing so that the viewer is not quite sure whether HDR has been used or not and more attention will be paid to the image rather than the method.

@skieur - i apreciate your opinion, i might have overdone it in 1 and 3... however i am curious on your opinion regarding the rest of the photos. Also, are you familiar with the work of Harold Davis and what do think of his pics.

These shots are fine photography to my amateur Eyes
Here is my line up
1- # 3
2- # 4
3- # 1
4- # 7 ( like the Eiffel Tower domination)
The others would be about even.

This is precisely why this forum exist with C&C, it offers the richness of different points of view...
I like the perspective and I do like the HDR effect, with these geometrical figures and lines, I think your processing is appropriate, I have often seen scenes of subtler form messed up by hdr, my opinion here is that it goes with the subject.

#1 subject too distant. Some discordance between the sky and the shadows.
#2 Good range of tone in the conversion. This shot is one that probably should have been in landscape format.
#3 nice range, but there is nothing to lend scale, and the distortion detracts.
#4 very tiny image is difficult to get any detail and therefore difficult to judge.
#5 Fairly good composition, but too general to show much detail
#6 Way too wide and slightly underexposed.
#7 Interesting choice of vantage point, possibly too much emphasis on the sky.
