FS: Nikon 70-200 f/2.8 VR II Lens

Yup, I am a total amateur. But I also realized that good lenses don't lose too much value...

I rented a 70-200 2.8 VR I a few years ago. Had it for a week, then kept it for a 2nd week. I believe it cost me about $140 for the 2 weeks.

I then bought the VR II...I worked up from a 70-300, then an 8-200, then the 70-200. I've had it for about 2-1/2 years, and once I sell the lens it will have cost me roughly $250 over the course of 2-1/2 years. Yeah, I had that money tied up. But I enjoyed the use of the VR II immensely, and I am going to recoup a good portion of that money now.

Just out of curiosity, why are you selling it?

The main reason I bought it was to shoot my son's High School soccer games. Those are over now.

So I am planning to sell the f/2.8 and replace with the new f/4 plus another lens (likely the 85 f/1.8). That will work out to about an even exchange money-wise.

I think I would just keep the 70-200 f/2.8 and save for the 85mm.
