Ft Lauderdale Sunrise

Woke up around 5 and drove to the port in fort lauderdale. Sat on the beach for about 2 hours too get a few of the shots i got below. It had stormed really bad the few days before and i think that contributed to the beauty of the early sky.

Well, I just saw them now

The colors are very nice, but I'm not sure I like them overall. I'm not sure why tho. I think they seem too much like abstract art to me.. like they are missing some sort of focal point? If that makes sense? The eye just meanders all over the place instead of settling down.

Of the four pics, 1 and 3 are the better ones (IMO) as both have something other than the pretty coloured sky in the frame. The first one has the glittering water, and the third one has the palm fronds. These add interest to the shot. In the first one, though, the sun is 'blown out'.

Do you have favourites from among these 4? Which ones, and why?
