Fuji XT2 sunrise photos pixelated?

I took some photos at sunrise the other day and not sure why they have a pixelated look when I view them on my monitor.

First question - do these look pixelated to you? Like someone pushed the saturation up too high? These are jpegs. Here is the original with no edits:

Here is an edited version. I lifted the shadows and applied some denoise software even though the ISO was only 200 and they are cropped a bit. I don't think I touched the colors.

Is this because I was shooting right into the sun? I'm not used to having to desaturate color and in this case I like the strong colors and would rather not but the pixelly spots ruin the shot. Or did I just blow the exposure? I have the RAW files and can fix that but will need to process them in a different software since PSE11 cannot handle the FUJI raw files.

Can't see the problem -- photos on Flicker are private and the version here are too small.

Consider posting the raw file on Dropbox.

@Ysarex The first one was private but I've fixed that, thanks for letting me know. I haven't even looked at the raw files so no idea if they have the problem I'm asking about. I'd like to know why the jpegs look pixelated to me. I'll look at the raw files if no one can tell me what's wrong with these. I'll be back at this same location again next week and would like to fix whatever it is that I did wrong with my settings or shooting.

They do not look pixelated. You're still not giving us much to look at though. The photos on Flicker are low-res 2048 pixel wide images. Your camera saves 6000 pixel wide images. You used two words to describe the problem; you said pixelated and then you mentioned saturation. The sun in the photo is overexposed and clipped but that's not pixelation.

Hmmm, maybe I'm doing something wrong when I save the photos after I crop them... I do always save as maximum size when I save something in PSE11. Again that first photo is basically downloaded right from the camera to PSE11 then added to Flickr no changes or cropping at all made by me. I didn't change anything to low res. Does Flickr do that? I can post larger photos from Flickr I think. I got rid of dropbox a while ago because I wasn't really using it. Any other options for posting the full file? Really could use some direction on where to get more info to figure out what I'm doing wrong. Photo size/resolution/resizing is definitely not something I fully understand.

Maybe I'm not using the right terms to describe the issue. I'm referring to the parts of the photos that look like what happens when you slide the color saturation sliders too far to the right. The lower part of the sky immediately to the right and left of the sun reflection in the water.

There's a screen shot of Flicker and the largest file size circled in red. Your camera JPEGs should be 6000 pixels wide. In PSE11 check the Image Size and see what's listed there.

I haven't been using Flickr much since it sold -- used to be they took full-res images but that might have changed.

I can see what you're talking about now but not well -- need to see the camera original either JPEG or raw.

So check the file size in PSE without any editing and make sure you've got a full size image. Then we'll need to find a way for you to upload it where we can see it.

The resolution seems off to me.

Not sure but sometimes it's easy to hit that scene dial on the bottom left, upper dial, you think your shooting in S but your not, provided the button isn't pushed down.

I don't use PS or LR. I mostly convert in camera then upload to tablet, use silkweed for crop, post. If I do like an event, I'll shoot in raw, and edit the raw in Alien exposure 2 and convert to srgb jpeg at 100% quality. Typically, I only have to bump the highlights, shadows. If it's people, I may brighten teeth, heal acne, etc.

If the images look good in raw they should look good in jpeg. If they change it's your software or Flickr. One way to check is put card back in camera, convert it in camera, chimp the converted jpeg in camera, that will narrow it down for sure.

Might be the way your monitor is re-sizing the particular images. The shot I see looks acceptable, to me, on this iMac.

In the last photo I posted I used the Flickr size that says "Original" which is 4582 x 3273 so I'm definitely losing something in the upload or bb code when linking. But still for posting on the web it shouldn't be that big of a drop off to cause that effect.

I was hoping it was just the monitor because it looks fine in the smaller displays on my phone and tablet but Joe says he sees it too so I guess not.

If I take the color saturation down a few pegs the weird looking tones go away so I guess that's what I'll do for now. I think I'm going to have to make a decision on processing software for Fuji raw. I've been putting it off because the jpegs are usually so good. This is the first time I've run into an issue that may have been resolved with raw conversion options.

The option to see the "original" isn't available to us since you have downloading restricted in Flickr. Easiest thing to do is set up a free Dropbox account and put the original JPEG and raw files there -- links here.

I downloaded the trial for Iridient and converted the raw file to a dng and loaded it to ACR. Those weird spots of color were gone. It must be something that the FUJI jpeg output is doing because of the way I shot into the sun. It's only on the photos where the sun was right in my field of view.
