Full Frame Compact

Can anyone recommend a full frame compact ?
I currently have a Canon G12 but would prefer a full frame compact for better detail.
Not sure what brands actually manufacture a full frame compact?
Suggestions Please

Hi MK11_user - the £2269 Sony RX1 (with AA filter) and £2395 Sony RX1r (no AA filter) are pretty much your only options.

They are about the same size as your G12 and produce stunning full frame images.

Amazon UK are offering a £200 discount on these cameras until January 22nd, 2014.

But unlike the G12 zoom lens the Sony has a prime lens on it so you are getting less flexibility with it.

Yes, it is certainly the smallest* full frame interchangeable lens camera, but I would not call the A7/A7r "compact". It is larger and heavier than the G12, especially when you put a lens on it: http://camerasize.com/compare/#488,101

The Nikon Df is even larger. It absolutely dwarfs the G12: Compare camera dimensions side by side

The GX1 may be a fixed lens camera, but it is pretty much the only* full frame compact available.

I have one too. I love it. What a great little camera-that Tessar lens (mine's an earlier one with the real Zeiss) is absolutely incredible. And it's quirky and odd, kinda like me! Actually, if I remember correctly, that's still the smallest full frame 35mm camera in existence. The Minox I think is a half frame?

As for the DF, oh well. I tried. And I learned something about that thing-it sure as hell looks cool too.
