I keep getting the ones that have you on a dirt road in the middle of nowhere...

Look at the soil and the vegetation.

That'll usually get me to the right continent, lol. If it's a populated area with street signs (with high enough image quality that they can actually be read), I can get it to under a kilometer every time.

Looking at the road striping has helped me narrow narrow down U.S. and Canada.

Damn. This is my best one yet: GeoGuessr - Let's explore the world!
Each one was within 300 meters. And it gave me 3 in Russia, lol.


I've also gotten a few before where some guy just took a panorama of his back yard or something - you can't go anywhere! If you look around, you can see his shadow - and it's definitely just some guy with a P&S, not the car/cart Google uses.
