Well the garlic sprouted so I thought I would practice on it...

I really like the composition, perhaps a little more light from the right to eliminate the shadow?

I agree that a little more light to the right would have helped. Nice still life though.

I'll keep that in mind for next time... I dont have any lamps in my apartment just lighting in the ceiling

Can't say I've ever seen garlic sprout tentacles. Interesting stuff.

Maybe one stop smaller on the aperture. The DOF is a touch thin.

Agreed on the shadow, but if it intentional and you like it, leave it; it should work either way.
