I just ordered this off amazon. Does anybody have one of these? If so, does it work good? I have a stofen omnibounce, but wanted to try something different.

it throws the light in all directions so you do lose a bit of power. Ive only played with it at a lighting seminar I attended so let me know how you end up liking it.

Congrats, now you can look like a tool. :)

Yeah, got mine today. Wasn't exactly as pictured in the online ad, but it does the job OK...:lmao:

meh, it looks odd. I kind of equate it to shooting something in burst, high speed, not really knowing what you are doing, and hoping something sticks.

It does an OK job, but you will get somewhat bland results IMO. Learning to bounce the flash and use it directionally is a better idea.

I;d also suggest researching a product BEFORE buying it. Just because a bunch of people have it doesnt mean its great, it just means the company knows how to market :)

That looks like a milk jug. :lmao:

Thats pretty much what 95% of these light modifiers are...you can use a piece of tupperware and it will do the same thing.

Although people enjoying paying high price for a name.

And yes, I have one too, but its a Lumiquest, so its ok lol

Lol i bet I could make one to fit lol, a milk jug I mean. I have a lumiquest soft box for my sb-600 but honestly don't use it as much as I thought I would.

I do more with my alien bee's and a 32 x 40 inch softbox or umbrella. I hardly ever touch my Sb600 right now but thats because its miserably cold out here with tonnes of that damn white ****.

I have heard the lightspheres are a complete waste due to them throwing light backwards as well. If you are in small quarters and the light will bounce off a wall behind you then it may be decent, but I doubt it would be as useful as other diffusers. I heard that these are pretty decent LumiQuest Pocket Bounce Kit - for Shoe Mount Flash LQ-125 B&H or this variation...

LumiQuest 80-20 Pocket Bouncer - Compact Bouncer LQ-102 B&H

I just got my 580EX ii in the mail today with a stofen diffuser....I am psyched.

I'm interested as well. Lyons have you shoot anything with this yet? Do you like it...guess I could get up and make one but I don't reall wanna just yet haha.

So....Basically I just wasted 30 dollars? Awesome!

I did some test shots with our work lizard, but nothing I'd say was up to par to post here. I was going to try it out on my car, BUT I looked at the thermometer and decided against it. 3'F.
