Gear protection for beach shoot

G'Day Guys, I've been asked to hit the beach for a swimwear shoot and was wondering what would be the best way to protect my gear?. I'm thinking that I'll attach my 70-200 w cpl and only use that so I can avoid changing lenses near the sand and spray, I won't be needing flash so I'll tape up the hot shoe. Would it be best to cover the camera in a plastic bag (it's a 60d) and tape up any gaps? Thanks Shane

If the spray is really heavy, consider a camera condom, otherwise, don't worry about it. Wipe everything down with a clean, fresh-water dampened cloth when you're done, let it dry and put it away. Gear really isn't that delicate.

The Rainsleeve linked above works well and will ward off light spray and sand. Consider plastic carrier bags and tape/elastic bands to slip around your tripod legs if you take your tripod - sand is a pain, but salt water even worse if it gets into a tripod (good quality ones can be dismantled fully to allow a full clean).
