Germany, Berlin in particular

I was watching a movie titled 'Walk on Water' and there was a scene in Berlin where someone bought food from a sidewalk vendor and called it something like 'Curly Dogs' (?).

The character has a slight but noticeable accent and I'm not certain that was what he called it. It looks like hot-dogs, cut-up. Any idea what they really were called?
