Getting a new lens, help me!

I have a Lumix DMC G1 so have been waiting for the new lenses to come out.
Am looking at getting Olympus M.ZUIKO Digital 17mm F2.8 Pancake lens () - Warehouse Express
This lens will mainly be for darkly lit shots (clubs, camping trips so on), the fact it's tiny and can go to 2.8 is the seller for me.
Or am I mistaken?
