Gimble Heads

I have read about how usefull gimbal heads are. There is a wide price range on ebay for gimbal heads, 100-600. I was wondering if anyone has tried any of the lower end heads, and with what results.

If there is a head you strongly recommend, let me know.

I love my Wimberley II head, but if you are on a budget there are other options. The manfrotto contraption is horrendous, but Flashpoint has one that looks interesting.....especially for the price.

FPDG1 Flashpoint Gimbal Head 1 with Quick Release, Supports 15.4 lbs.

What lens/body combo you using?

Perhaps Adorama copied Wimberley's design? They look the same other than the color schemes used.
