giottos tripod head problem

i have the MH5001 tripod head. Ive had it for a year or so with no probs. however the head has now become stuck on the tripod. there are 3 allen screws which i have released but still i cannot remove the head. can anyone help please?

I'm having this problem as well, I'm wanting to get a Pan & Tilt head rather then a three way and I can't get the three way head off.

Take the allen screws all the way out just to be sure. Tighten all the control knobs on the head, wrap it in a bath towel, place the head in a vise and tighten the vise just enough to grip the head. Supporting the legs turn gently twist them. Should come loose just fine.
