I think this was my first time asking stranger to pose and possibly my first portrait, if it can be classified as one. Might as well try more of these because I really like how the image turned out and the experience of nagging strangers for a photo-op is also fun, a new kind of awkward

NOW... that said.. I BET if you cropped it pretty heavily from the left that you could make that effect work.

Good point. I agree that a crop would probably be an improvement, especially in terms of providing more focus for the woman's face and outline in relation to the street and windows.

Very good, I like it a lot. The line of her arm is just magnificent. I would have photoshopped the cigarette - would have made it longer. And probably would have darken that white spot a bit, it is brighter than anything else on the photo.

Beautiful. I love the light playing on her hand and face, although the bar behind the bridge of her nose is distracting. Asking stranger knocks you way out of your comfort zone, doesn't it!

There are two ways to go with this, I think. Crop a bit off the left or actually add some to the left and bottom to make it a neat graphic composition.

Thanks for your feedback, the image was cropped this way because of crowds of people in the street, they are in the original photo but I decided to crop them out. As for post processing, I wouldn't change it, it represents what I had in mind that moment, as soon as the girl allowed me to take photos of her I knew what kind of result I want. I need to do these kinds of shots more often, they are much more personal than dime-a-dozen landscape/cars photos I'm used to take.
