Hi there. I've been using a DSLR for close to a year now, but I'm still learning. I'd like for more people to comment on my photos and I would appreciate any tips that anyone can provide me. Dunno if this works, but here goes....

I am viewing this from my phone, so I am not able to see the picture as it was meant to be. However, there are two major issues that are obvious to me.

Her face to severely under exposed, and the cluster of lights in the background is overwhelmingly distracting.

Try using your flash with a diffuser, make sure to adjust the white balance to compensate to new hue.

Change the composition, try a different angle with something less distracting in the background.
