I'm wondering if anyone here at TPF can give me a recommendation on camera gloves for shooting in the cold?

I know there are some out there but I wanted to see if anyone here actually owns a pair that could provide feedback.

Depends on how extreme the cold. I have a pair of Mechanix gloves (<$25 at any auto store). They are available in a variety of thicknesses and allow for all necessary dexterity, but they won't be much good in really cold weather.

I bought the Freehands Unlined Fleece folding back magnet finger tips, I spent a couple hours out In 26 degrees and they kept my hands pretty warm and I had no issues with the controls. Mine are not water proof, but I'm not making snowballs with them so shouldn't be a problem. One thing you should be aware of theses gloves run larger then I expected.I have about average size hands and the finger tips are a tad longer and I went with mens small so measure twice order once.

I just wear my black leather lined dressy type gloves. I was surprised that they worked OK a couple days ago. My issue is I have big hands and can't find gloves that fit me.

I hate shooting bare handed in the cold weather, they will look like lopsters after a while haha. It doesn't matter, I don't function well it the cold anyways, all I think about is getting warm rather than shooting, unless there is an interesting subject that's worth the pain and suffering lol. Those are usually the best shots!

I just bit the bullet and moved to southern California.
That would be cool as ****. Just think, could be hanging with You, Gary, and Frank at the drive-in drinking choice wine, developing film, eating excellent barbeque, and harrasing his dog, wife, and neiborhood.... Good times...Man that sounds excellent..,. Add limr and the P A R T Y is complete... Now that's what I'm talking about!

That's not an option for me right now, haha. But it sure sounds good.
