good camera for video?

we have a nikon d700 which we are using for pretty much everything. however, it does not do video and we would like to try our hand with videography as well. any suggestions?

I have the Canon 7D which is very capable but video isn't of interest to me right now. My wife on the other hand has a Canon HF G10 and shoots videos for her Taekwondo club, and they are amazing!
