Good image converter for PNG? Few other questions.

So, recently got into Photography. And I've made a Facebook page and figured out that Facebook automatically re-sizes and makes the sharp really aggressive also lowering the quality of the high quality image at JPG. So I've read some posts that says converting a JPG image to PNG while re-sizing will make the photo turn out like it's original and beautiful.

So really I'm trying to ask a few questions.
What is the best image converter and Image re-sizer? Hopefully free, or cheap. (low budget)
What is the best website that I can post too, and share it to the world? Like make a portfolio of photos.
And any other tips will be great! Thank you all.

Camera: Canon EOS REBEL T5i

You're probably not going to get any quality improvement converting a jpeg to a png.

You may want to shoot raw and use canon's conversion utility program that probably came with your T5i
