I have some ideas for some stock photography. Im shooting with a Rebel XTi. What is a good lens for this? I know you have to have some decent quality glass, but HOW decent? Im definitely on a budget, but I would like to try my hand at this...plus see if I can get whats in my head to translate into the lens.

"stock photography" is too vague. What exactly will you be shooting? Plus there are tons of threads on this already if you just do a search.

Sorry for not being helpful. :p

Sorry, im a boob for not being more specific...or searching....lol.

By stock photography, I mean pics for those sites that offer pictures for use in advertising, billboards, and various other uses. As best I understand they have strict standards, but none of the site are specific as to what those standards are.

Your 18-55 should be good enough for most things but a better lens would help.

Suggestions:
