Good lens for pictures of the kid

Bought the 35mm 1.8 for low light pics of my 2 month old and its amazing in low light, just have to be careful because stuff is EASILY blurred with this lens. (sometimes stuff you didnt want haha)

So I went and got the 50mm 1.4 and went away on vacation/sisters beach wedding and it along with the flash I bought awhile ago made for some good photos! Nothing professional but I can definitely see the difference in the photos over previous lenses. Much much clearer! Was worth it! Thanks for the input everyone.
