Good sales around Photokina (September)?

Hi,

I am in the USA. I want to buy some photography equipment including flashes, tripods, remote triggers and few lenses that I can wait.

I am in this hobby for few months now so do not know what goes around Photokina show.

Will I save money if I wait (since I can) for Photokina to buy this extra equipment or should I just buy it when Canon or others have rebates/promotions?
