My wife is a bit of a fitness nut and is proud of her abs. (44 and 5 kids). Yep, that is clay on her hands.

Amazing good for her!!!

You Overexposed the pic washed out the details of her abdomen and w/e abs she had you aren't showing them.

I can unerstand where you're going with this, but honestly, this is not your best effort. Abs, as a subject, was sorely missed.

not really. i dont know how many abs you've seen but her's are better then, i'd say 90% of American women.

nice photo. i think the exposure is good.

Abs wasn't really the subject, but just a teaser title to get some views. Thanks for the comments, though because you know I respect your opinion. Her biggest concern whenever I take her pic is to not make her look old, so the lighting is set up to reduce wrinkles.

Maybe I should change the title to "Got wrinkles?":D

Thanks for looking and the comments. I would agree with you, as north Americans we are generally not very fit.

The light is put too much to the left I think oldmacman. I think black and white would do so much better.

I've got to get to the gym, that's all I know. Tell Ms Macman I am jealous.

I think the harsh lighting and overexposure undermines your point.

First off, she DOES NOT look old, not in the slightest. Very pretty.

I may have been too brief in my initial reply. IMO, the lighting should've been toned down, perhaps 1 to 2 stops. You've got the nice Rembrant lighting going on her face, but with hard edged shadow lines. The abdominal lighting is not allowing any shadows to show the audience the contours of her hard work to stay fit.

I think showing some of her right arm would be a more complete portrait. The fingers creeping out on her right hip looks a bit odd without being attached to the rest of the arm.

I think you did the opposite :( The lighting is pretty harsh and shows every contour.

I like the last one best - her abs rock.
