Welcome to the forum.
Use your manual to determine what each mode does, then go out an practice it i.e. macro, go shoot close ups of bugs and flowers etc. Eventually you may end up shooting either shutter, aperture or manual. Once I got the understanding of the exposure triangle I found it more fun and challenging to shoot manual but it's not necessary.
I would suggest as you practice each mode, write down the settings (shutter speed, aperture and iso) and enviroment (cloudy, sunny, night time and so on) so you can review them if in the future.
Have fun and enjoy.
